Not all Making is fluffy and impractical and just decoration.
The Artist has been wanting a set of day-of-the-week embroidered kitchen towels for about as long as she’s had a kitchen. But since embroidery’s one of those things that she’s a complete neophyte at…well, let’s just say that the paints called louder than the threads.
This set, based on a pattern set from Wild Olive (modified a little bit, because that’s just how we roll around here) is slowly being stitched and sewn and crocheted at the edges. Some might call this more of a craft than an art, and maybe they’re right…but it sure moves one step closer to a totally handmade, artful life, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
